                    "Storytelling Like a Boss" Workshop

    Jessica Tower

    Tower & Company

    Program Summary

Storytelling is the #1 under-utilized leadership technique. You can do it anywhere, anytime, it doesn't require special equipment, and it doesn't cost anything. And it is powerful.

Stories help us relate to one another. They are memorable, and effective in shaping attitudes. Stories also play a powerful role in building culture. Master stories, and you take your leadership to another level.

Find your voice. Learn the secrets to using storytelling as a leadership technique and start telling stories like a boss.

Through this workshop, you will learn the psychology behind storytelling and how to use it to shape company culture. After learning about various story formats, you will craft a story most relevant to your particular leadership challenges. Participants will practice sharing their leadership stories and receive feedback from other participants.

    Program Objectives

    What you will learn:

    • Why stories are so memorable, and how to use them to influence others
    • How stories help people bond, and how to use them to build relationships
    • How to effectively use stories to shape organizational culture
    • Identify specific types of stories to fulfill particular leadership functions
    • Craft your own stories and practice sharing them with an audience

      Who should attend:

This program is designed for people managers and organizational leaders who are interested in boosting their influence and effectiveness through better communication. This is not a workshop for "passive" participants. Practice is a large component of this workshop, and participants are expected to provide feedback to other storytellers. You will come away from this workshop with well-crafted, authentic stories that are ready to be shared.

Due to the interactive nature of the workshop, space is limited to 12 participants.

“The whole experience was better than I could have imagined. I loved learning about stories and the different types/formats they could take on. I loved crafting and sharing my story. It was very powerful and boosted my confidence to get so much feedback and suggestions on how to enhance the story further.”

“The workshop was worth the time, money and energy I spent to attend. It was informational and inspiring. It helped me realize that I do have a story to tell, many of them probably, and it helped me to find my story and be able to tell it. It helped with confidence, with building connections and gave me a great introduction to storytelling. I am craving more now and it made me want to take a deeper dive into this topic and learn more. This workshop was much needed for my heart and mind and I gained a new perspective on life from attending.”

“Everything was perfect… the information was spot on, a safe place was created where everyone could openly share their stories, the support and feedback was very valuable.”
