Program Summary

Please join us this September as we welcome back Darlene Van Tiem, PhD, CPT, CPLP as our featured speaker. Darlene is a highly regarded expert in the field of Performance Improvement, with a successful career that spans over 40 years across multiple industries. 


Performance Improvement brings together multiple aspects of talent management. The change and innovation process involves focusing on desired outcomes and results; approaching situations systemically; collaborating with customers, clients, and all stakeholders; and adding value.  In order to maximize efforts, performance improvement includes commitment to feasibility and sustainability based on business cases.  

 

Learning Objectives

In this 75-minute session, our learning objectives include:

  • Recognize the value of performance improvement
  • Clarify performance improvement terminology
  • Utilize the Performance Improvement / HPT Model as a job aid
  • Determine own proficiency in intervention selection

The session will include a presentation and case study, with opportunities for group involvement and participation.  You will also leave with a checklist that you can use utilize in your own performance improvement projects.

About the Speaker 

Darlene Van Tiem has a long list of accomplishments, just some of which include past President of ATD Detroit, Past President of International ISPI, faculty at four colleges and universities, featured speaker, published author, and valued consultant and Associate Professor Emerita – University of Michigan - Dearborn. It is safe to say she is a pioneer in the field of human performance improvement, and one that paved the way for a career in this discipline that we all enjoy. Please join us to learn more!

Registrations are not considered definite or confirmed until payment has been submitted. Cancellations will be accepted until 5:00pm on Thursday, September 3rd. Cancellations received prior to this time/date can be 1) refunded to the credit card less a $5 processing fee or 2)transferred to the next scheduled ATD Detroit meeting date.

Refunds after this date cannot be issued, but we will gladly accept a substitution should you wish to send someone in your place.
