Session Description

Although Mastermind groups are nothing new, many talent development professionals are just discovering how to use this powerful collaboration tool to link arms and tackle challenges. Concepts formalized by Napoleon Hill in the 1920s are inspiring today's business leaders use Mastermind concepts to expand networks, empower teams, and break down traditional workplace silos.

This session will educate attendees on basic mastermind concepts and introduce them to using a Mastermind as a way of sharing knowledge. It will also provide them with a blueprint for creating a Mastermind group in their workplace or for a use of their own.

Learning Objectives

Attendees will:

  1. Learn the defining factors of a traditional mastermind group

  2. Identify the immediate applicability of mastermind groups in today's professional environment

  3. Explore a valuable framework for navigating the four basic communication styles that we encounter while collaborating

  4. Experience a mastermind-style conversation first-hand with their ATD-Detroit peers
