Session Description
Everywhere you turn, you are likely hearing about coaching. You might be curious about what that really means in general – and specifically for you and your career. Let’s discuss how growing your knowledge and skills around coaching can amplify the impact of your other capabilities.
This session will give attendees perspective about how coaching capabilities can have an impact from any seat. You will get perspective on how things look different when you are coaching from your role versus coaching is your role.
Attendees will:
1) Learn how context matters to the definition of coaching
2) Identify the differences among coaching, consulting and mentoring
3) Explore how you can incorporate coaching capabilities into whatever function you perform
Facilitator
Beki Fraser, PCC, is the founder of Focus For Growth and most frequently works with clients who identify with being an 'introverted skeptic'. She supports them as they integrate who they are as leaders with how they communicate, make decisions, and interact with others in their organization. Prior to becoming a professional coach, Beki worked in HR for 15+ years in a range of software and technical industries. Beki holds an MBA from Yale, has earned the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential through the ICF, and is a past-President of the ICF Michigan chapter. She completed her initial coach training with the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC).
