Robin Pierman will present an overview of Social Learning – what it is, how it works, and how organizations are using it.  The presentation will include participant activities that reinforce the value of collaborative learning technologies.

 

 

In this session, participants will learn:

 

  • The difference between social media and social learning
  • How different social media tools can be used to support learning programs
  • How organizations are incorporating social learning into their employee training programs
AGENDA:
5:30pm-6:00pm: Registration/Networking
6:00pm-6:45pm: Dinner
6:45pm-8:30pm: Program
PARKING/ENTRANCE INFORMATION:
Park only in the North lot that has long, straight walkways - you cannot exit the South lot after 8pm.  Visitors entering the building are required to check in at security.
REGISTRATION NOTE:  Registration will close at 10am on November 12th.  Due to the security process at AAA, walk-ins cannot be accepted for this meeting.


About Robin Pierman
Robin has a Master’s degree in Education and has been an IT Trainer for more than twenty years.

She created the social media strategy adopted by the Detroit chapter of ASTD, and manages all the digital channels used by the association’s membership. Her consulting business, Social Engagementz, LLC, helps small businesses establish their online presence through social media.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Cancellations will be accepted until 5:00pm on Thursday, November 7th. Cancellations received prior to this time/date can be 1) refunded to the credit card less a $5 processing fee or 2)transferred to the next scheduled GDASTD meeting date.

Refunds after this date cannot be issued, but we will gladly accept a substitution should you wish to send someone in your place.
