GDASTD April Meeting

"Where in the World are Your Trainees?  Tools for Training in a Global Business Environment"

presented by:

Barbara Boldt

Global Communication Specialist

Program Summary

We all know that we live and work in a globalized world. This fact of life has many consequences, one of which is that the people you need to train could be just about anywhere! What does this mean for you as a trainer or training manager? It means that your trainees may have different values and beliefs about training or being trained, very likely have different ways of learning, and will have different experiences of the same materials or methodology.

During this interactive meeting you will:

  • Learn about some of the different attitudes and beliefs that people from different cultures have about training.
  • Investigate styles of learning that are encouraged and supported in various cultures.
  • Look at some best practice related to teaching diverse groups of trainees.

Agenda

5:30pm-6:00pm:  Registration/Networking

6:00pm-6:45pm:  Dinner

6:45pm-8:30pm:  Presentation
