February Meet-up

This Month's Topic: Strengthening Your Resilience
How can We Strengthen Our Individual Resilience to Increase our Adaptability?
Following on from Dr. Esther Jackson's explanation of adaptability for both competitive advantage in business and for facilitators/talent development professionals, we will discover some tips that we can all use for ourselves and others. Building resilience needs more than just a company wellness program of yoga/stretching and social hours on zoom. Strengthening our resilience "muscle" by exercising it means that we must first locate it, and that starts with self-awareness.
Join us to explore individual responses and personalized tools as we each develop our route to increased resilience in these challenging times!

Come hang out with a group of facilitators!
The Facilitation Special Interest Group (SIG) is dedicated to helping members hone their facilitation skills, gain opportunities to practice new approaches and techniques, and discuss critical aspects of life as a facilitator.
Whether you're a full-time facilitator or just have an interest in building the skill, this SIG is for you!
For more information about the Facilitation SIG or the upcoming Meet-up, contact Facilitation SIG Organizer Alison Jolliff, ajolliff@oakland.edu.

What's a SIG?
Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are small groups of members who share an affinity for a particular aspect of Talent Development. Whether it's a specific approach, a certain skill, or a common role in the industry, a SIG helps bring chapter members together to share in an interest.
Anyone can start a SIG - all it takes is a shared interest and a meeting place! To learn more, contact the VP Development, development@detroitatd.org.
