Program Summary:

To what extent does collaboration impact complex ill-structured design? This presentation will focus on a case involving team collaboration while working on a complex design case. The session will include activities where participants will work in teams using collaboration to manage constraints, practice inclusive and decisive leadership to keep the design process moving forward and use collaboration to build and rebuild verbal prototypes in order to envision and refine solutions. A discussion on collaboration and design teams will ensue.

Learning Objectives

  • Participants will be able to articulate how to use collaboration to manage design constraints.
  • Participants will be able to demonstrate inclusive and decisive leadership techniques to keep the design process moving forward.
