Session Description

Whether your organization is in person, virtual or hybrid, onboarding is still the key to retaining new employees. Creating and maintaining a robust, relevant onboarding experience is critical part of the hiring strategy. 

GREAT NEWS! Immersive learning modalities like Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality are now accessible and affordable. AND!  They can be utilized to enhance and engage new hires during onboarding - making the experience memorable and meaningful!

In this session, we will discuss immersive learning modalities and their onboarding use cases. You will ideate with others on how to integrate immersive learning into your existing onboarding experiences and leave with a plan to immediately apply them.

After this session, attendees will be able to:

  • Describe the differences between AR and VR
  • Explain the best use cases for AR and VR in onboarding experiences
  • Leave with ideas on how to immediately apply Immersive Learning to your organizations onboarding program

Betty Dannewitz is an Immersive Experience Designer with over 18 years in corporate learning and development.  She is also a speaker, podcaster, and High-Performance Coach.  Betty’s passion is to help people become better humans and she advocates that innovative technology, like augmented reality, has a HUGE role in making that happen.
