Program Summary:
You have an idea for a mobile learning solution, but how do you turn it into reality? Although basic instructional design principles and practices still apply, mobile is a different beast from "traditional" e-learning. It can take several forms, and it can be delivered on many devices. Information architecture, user interface, and use of text and media are critically important. What's more, the devices themselves offer unique features and functions that can be leveraged for a multi-faceted learning experience. Then you have the issue of getting the solution from conception to delivery and that’s where good project management comes in.
At the end of the session, participants will, at a minimum, be able to:
-
List the factors instructional systems designers need to address when designing a mobile solution.
-
-
Describe how choosing the right technology impacts mobile solutions.
-
-
Develop project management best practices for managing mobile projects.
Join Susan Fisher, lead instructional designer and learning consultant; Matt Kurtin, lead programmer and learning technology consultant; and Gayle Holsworth, project manager and performance consultant, as they field questions and address issues about creating, implementing, and managing mobile learning solutions.
